At least one expert agrees with me

...normally when this type of legislation is introduced in Congress the members of the House of Representatives or the Senate cite the provisions of the U.S. Constitution that authorize such legislation.

This has not been the case in any of the Health Care Bills proposed. This is not a simple oversight on the part of the Congress. They know they don’t have Constitutional authority to do this, but they simply don’t care. They intend to do it anyway.

I'm not a lawyer. Nor am I any kind of Constitutional specialist. However, I also read the bill (H.R. 3200 at OpenCongress.org). For three months now I have been telling people exactly the same thing highlighted above. The purpose of this bill is not to reform health care. The purpose of this build is to create an unassailable central government by providing it direct control over our daily life.

That's not freedom. It's tyranny.

Original post from September 4, 2009:

Well, this is not the kind of thing I usually post, but here goes.

I just discovered this new blog and here are two posts that I will be reading sometime soon, maybe even tomorrow:

The Truth About the Health Care Bills
More About the Health Care Bills

I've skimmed a summary of the first, and it looks very impressive. Next time I log on I'll offer my own response to Mr. Connelly's positions. I'd like to suggest others read them as well. His credentials are impeccable. Now let me go read his blog a bit and I'll let you know how I feel about his opinions.
