Memorial Day

There seems to be a few folks out there who can't be bothered to check their facts before reporting on something. These agenda-driven, ideological zombies are declaring that the recent National Defense Appropriations Act will authorize the president to declare war anywhere at any time. It does not do so. Here are two links to the bill itself:

H.R. 1540 at "Open Congress"

But that is a sidenote and a distraction. Today is Memorial Day.

I would like to offer my heartfelt thanks to men and women currently serving in the U.S. military as well as everyone who has ever served in the U.S. military. Most especially I would like to take a moment to remember the fallen and those who live with the physical and emotional scars that combat inevitably leaves behind. Your sacrifice is honored and respected here.
